In the Czech Republic, the first December week is very popular among children. They get ready for the visit of St. Nicholas - Mikuláš - who brings presents to children who were good and obedient for a whole year. Mikuláš is always joined by a group of devils who are ready to put naughty children into a big bag and take them into the hell. Ugh...........In each case, naughty children get only some coal and potatoes instead of chocolate and candies. Children have to be ready to sing a song to these scary visitors to calm them a bit.
In Dub nad Moravou school Mikuláš and his group visit each class, including a kindergarten. There is a rule that every year these folk traditional characters are performed by students of 9th grade.
